My Role In Society Essay

“Society is not merely a select body of spiritual or intellectual persons, but a great organism composed of all kinds of members, a net containing bad and good.”
- Robert Hugh Benson

But nobody is born bad. The reason behind the good or bad nature of anyone lies in the environment they grew up in. Those who have seen and known criminals since the beginning of their lives are more likely to get involved in criminal activity than those who grew up elsewhere amidst honest and moral people, with virtually zero crime. Today, many of the unfortunate humans, like the poor and the unfairly treated, are fighting for justice and equality. Those who do not get these things could lose their sense of humanity and committing crime. In other words, they might start doubting the purpose of life and humanity and all of the things we call “blessings”. Eventually, they end up behind bars, all because society placed them at a lower level. But how is all this connected to me? What is my role in society? As a citizen of this world, what are my responsibilities? Well, as Medical Professor Kathryn Anastos put it, “Our responsibility as privileged human beings is to pay back for the opportunities we've received.” Thus, I have various responsibilities in society, all depending on the aspect of society in question.

What is my role in macro level society? Macro level society is an aspect of society that analyzes the broader levels of society, such as society at a national and a global level. Well, my role at the national level of society is basically that of a responsible citizen, more specifically, one who is capable of cooperating with the government and other citizens, and able to make sure that the government is being fair to its citizens. Acts of kindness, opposition towards prejudice, and standing up against the unfair are some traits that all good citizens possess. Then there is society at a global level. In global level society, I am merely a human being, one amongst 7.2 billion other human beings, yet I still have certain responsibilities as a global citizen. I am supposed to help out with worldwide problems, such as climate change and pollution, and I am expected to educate myself and others well before helping to make the world a better place with my knowledge. These characteristics make a good global citizen. When I am thinking of all these things that I am supposed to take responsibility for, my mind often wanders off to think, “How will I do all these things? I am just one small human on this huge planet.” At times of self-doubt like this, it helps me to recall an African proverb that goes, “If you think you’re too small to make a difference, you haven’t spent a night with a mosquito.” This helps me remember that even the smallest of things can cause a big change. Therefore, at a broader level of society, my role is basically that of a person, and I am expected to follow a humanitarian lifestyle.

The Role of Women in Society

Women are important in our society. Every woman has her own job or duty in this modern society in which men are still the 'strongest gender';. We can´t forget that women´s life is a lot more complicated than a man´s life. A woman has to take care of her own personal life and if she is a mother , she has to take care also about her children´s life too. Marriaged women have lots of worries and believe it or not , they carry out a more stressfull life than marriaged men.

For this reason he can´t acomplish the cares that the woman of the house takes with their own children.

I am and I will be the person I am because of my mother. I am sure that the only thing I may miss if some day I loose my family could be my mother and now is the time when I realize and convince myself that she is the most important person for me . I am sure my comment could be accepted by most of the people living in a similar society.

Finally I just want to express the importance of woman in the society by closing our eyes , and trying to imagine our childhood or even our
