Global warming is one of the biggest problems facing our world today, that threatens to take away everything we have. our temperatures are slowly deliberately accumulating, and with that, our world is crumbling. Global warming is avoidable, but us humans need to take a step forward and hinder it. since the 1900s, our world evoked entering the era of industrialization, and global warming also suddenly erupted before anyone noticed. Global warming is permanent and cannot be reversed. We have to act now as a group and stop global warming before it is too late.

Global warming is one of the biggest problems facing our world today, that threatens to take away everything we have. our temperatures are slowly deliberately accumulating, and with that, our world is crumbling. Global warming is permanent and cannot be reversed. We have to act now as a group and stop global warming before it is too late.
Global warming has many negative effects. When people hear the term global warming, they usually think of all the countries being very hot and people getting heat strokes. However, that is not all of the effects of global warming. In the past years, glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes are breaking faster, and snowpack sizes in Antarctica and Greenland have decreased greatly. Plants and animals have also been affected in many pessimistic ways. Because of the change global warming has brought, plant and animal ranges have shifted. Trees and flowers are blooming earlier than usual because of global warming. Finally, there are more severe storms. The North Atlantic has shown increased hurricane intensity since the 1970’s. In Northern Europe, Eastern America, and parts of Asia have increased precipitation amounts. Droughts have become longer and more severe. Many areas are seeing bigger and more intense snow storms.

Essay on The Effects of Global Warming

656 Words3 Pages

Global Warming is a condition caused by greenhouse gases and human activities. The increased concentration of greenhouse gases due to activities such as deforestation and fossil fuel burning is causing the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans to warm up. As a result of this, global warming has some serious effects in the shape of extreme weather, species extinctions, and rising sea levels. These effects can contribute to the changes that are taking place all over the world, most of which are dangerous enough to pose a threat to the survival of life on Earth in the future.
Of all the effects of global warming, the extreme weather that is taking place all over the world is the most obvious one. Global warming will bring more heat waves, drought,…show more content…

An especially good example of this are the polar bears, whose lives are threatened as the ice on which they need to hunt and feed is melting. Polar bears main diets are seals and they are entirely dependent on ice, but as the melting ice decreases their habitats polar bears could be driven to extinction as they no longer can hunt for their food safely. Due to higher temperatures, many species will be driven to extinction as they can no longer tolerate the heat or when their life cycle is disturbed by the results of global warming. In addition, rising water temperatures can also threaten species that are extremely sensitive to temperature changes such as coral reefs. Overall, species which prefer colder areas can have a hard time adapting to the new climate due to the increase in the temperatures and are prone to extinction, while species which prefer warmer areas will continue to increase. It’s stated that “Global warming is a serious threat to biodiversity” (Lovgren), as more species move to different habitats and the whole balance of the ecosystem is greatly disturbed.
As the Earth grows warmer, hotter temperatures can cause the glaciers at the poles to break off and melt which results in rising sea levels. “This will bring about the most intense climatic changes and alteration in the habitats”
